This function allows changing the target used on local machine, in case the target assigned to a pool is not configured or is missing. In some scenarios it might be necessary to change or set which target is used by a pool configuration. It is needed when the pool is imported on a particular machine and a target mapping is not configured. In this case it is required to select which local target has to be used on a machine where the pool is now imported. Other case is the replacement of a FC adapter when its ports are used by pool configuration. In this case it is also handy to modify which target should be used in a place of the previous one, one that is no longer present in the system. Only the target that is missing or not configured for local node can be replaced. Replacement of a target that is not configured for local node is not a replacement. It is an assignment of local target to pool. Mapping of targets for other nodes is intact during this operation. Target that is used as a replacement cannot be used by any FC group. This is because the replacement target will be assigned to every group where the replaced target is assigned. | |||
