The MPIO disks function lists all the configured MPIO devices (disks which are available through more than one path will be automatically configured as an MPIO device and will be also listed).

For each MPIO device the available and currently used paths, as well as the MPIO status are visible.
Available MPIO statuses: Pending setup, OK, Unknown.

Pending setup - postponed until the Pool is exported and later until:

  • the Pool is imported
  • or the system restarted

Unknown - MPIO configuration present in the system but not active
OK - MPIO device configured and running

MPIO devices can be collectively edited (by selecting specific devices) and using the “Edit selected” button or separately  by using “Edit disk” from the form in which “Remove failed paths”, “Disk details” and “Delete” functions are available.

Important:

It is not possible to delete the MPIO device which has two or more available paths. In order to delete such device it is necessary to remove the paths (to unplug the cables) and then use the "Delete" function.
