Available disks function lists the disks which are connected with one path only and that are not configured as a part of MPIO devices.
This function enables a manual configuration of those disks (with one path) as part MPIO devices. It is also possible to check details of individual disks.
Important:
Disks on which Pools are located are also listed – in this case, the configuration of an MPIO appliance will be postponed as pending setup until the Pool is exported,
and later until:
- the Pool is imported
- or the system restarted
Important:
Listed are also the disks which are available through more than one path and which were deleted from the MPIO devices in the MPIO disks section form - keep in mind
that the MPIO device will be automatically configured after the system restart, as it is for all disks connected to the system through more than one path.
