This is a summary of the hard disk information. You will find here:

  • Name - presented by the typical names ( i.e. sda, sdb,sdc...)
  • ID - the full name that identifies the hard drive
  • Path - name of the path that identifies the hard drive
  • Model - name of the model that identifies the hard drive
  • Serial number - an individual serial number of the hard drive
  • Size - size of the hard drive
  • State - status of the hard drive. There are 6 possible status options:
    • DEGRADED - One or more top-level devices are in the degraded state because they have become offline. Sufficient replicas exist to keep functioning
    • FAULTED - One or more top-level devices are in the faulted state because they have become offline. Insufficient replicas exist to keep functioning
    • OFFLINE - The device was explicity taken offline
    • ONLINE - The device is online and functioning
    • REMOVED - The device was physically removed while the system was running
    • UNAVAIL - The device could not be opened
